Micro Moulding

Micro moulding produces plastic components whose mass, wall thickness or functional features are too small for conventional process settings to control reliably. There is no single size threshold; capability depends on the part, material, machine and measurement method.

Design and mould considerations

Micro gears, small medical or electronic components, fine ribs, holes, channels and clips can require precise cavity details. Gate size, venting, flow length, cooling and ejection must be considered together with the part geometry.

Process control

Stable production depends on accurate dosing and injection, suitable screw and shot size, material drying where required, controlled mould temperature and repeatable handling. Inspect parts with a measurement method appropriate to their scale.
